Frequently Asked Questions

Here is everything you need to know about how we work together.

What is the difference between coaching and therapy?

While therapy often looks back to heal and understand the past, we are focused on your ascent. We acknowledge where you are and past experiences, but our work is about architecting your next chapter. We use strategic frameworks to bridge the gap between your current transition—whether professional or personal—and your future potential.

How is this different from traditional consulting or mentoring?

A consultant gives you the answer; a mentor shows you their path. At The Phoenix Rise, I act as your Strategic Partner. I leverage my background in organizational strategy, M&A and scaled transformations to help you discover the unique blueprint for your rise. I provide the expert advisory, but you own the transformation.

What does a coaching session actually look like?

Each session is a high-impact, confidential strategy room. We define the challenge you are currently facing and conclude with a blueprint for action. We don’t just talk about change; we architect the steps required for you to evolve.

How do I know if this is the right partnership for me?

Transformation requires a partner who understands both the complexities of the boardroom and the nuances of the living room. A discovery call is our opportunity to see if my experience and your current aspirations are in alignment. Chemistry and trust are paramount to success.  I look forward to connecting with you to explore possible paths forward.

What is the "ROI" of a coaching engagement?

In a corporate context, the ROI is measured in resilient leadership and strategic clarity—the ability to lead a team through transformation or high-stakes pivots without burning out. On a personal level, the return is found in reclaiming your agency. We are here to  achieve results in measurable professional impact and a profound sense of personal alignment.

How often will we meet to maintain momentum?

Most clients find a bi-weekly cadence (every two weeks) provides the optimal rhythm for reflection and action. However, during high-intensity periods of change, we can adjust our frequency to provide the support you need to remain centered.

How long is the typical coaching engagement to see results?

Sustained growth requires more than a "quick fix." A typical engagement spans 3 to 6 months, providing the necessary time to identify the challenge, build trust and rapport and discover insights into solutions. This timeframe allows us to apply a deeper approach to your own life or leadership style, ensuring that your growth is both stable and sustainable.

How do we measure our progress?

We establish goals and metrics at the outset. In a corporate setting, these may align with organizational KPIs or 360-degree feedback. In life transitions, we measure progress through increased resilience, clarity of decision-making, and the successful navigation of your specific life moments.

Is coaching only for those in the middle of a crisis?

Not at all. Many of our clients are high-performers looking to ascend to their next level of leadership or navigate a proactive career pivot. Coaching provides the strategic foresight to get there faster through reflection, observations and support.

Can you support me through both career pivots and personal loss?

Absolutely. The philosophy of The Phoenix Rise is built on the truth that the person is the architect of their own destiny. Whether you are navigating a corporate restructure or the journey of grief, the requirement for resilience is the same. We ensure you rise with purpose in every area of your life.
